St. Agnes’ is a welcoming and vibrant community. We work towards building strong relationships between school, families, our Parish and our local community.
We are a community of Faith, Learning and Partnership. We are characterised by a safe environment with a supportive parent and parish community.
We value each individual within our school community and commit ourselves to assist and challenge them to realise their spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social and physical potential.
We strive to contribute to the development of students’ sense of self-worth, enthusiasm for learning and optimism for the future.
There are many opportunities for parents to be involved with our community through an active and highly valued Parent’s and Friends Association, School Education Advisory Board, parent groups and social activities for parents and for families.
Parents & Friends and School Education Board
Parents and Friends' Association (PFA)
The Parents and Friends' Association (PFA) enables all parents, school staff and interested people to participate in supporting the School. The PFA aims to encourage social interaction between all parents in a Christian atmosphere and make the school enjoyable and rewarding for our children to attend. We take pride in our friendly and caring community and welcome all parents and friends.
School Education Board
The School Education Board is an advisory team made up of the Parish Priest, the School Principal, a staff representatives and elected parents of the school. The team meets twice each term and discusses issues which relate to the running and the planning of the school. While decisions relating to the running of the school are the concern of the Principal and Parish Priest, the School Education Board plays an important advisory role which will often support the decision-making process.
The School Education Board enhances communication and accountability, and plays a key role in keeping parish, staff and families 'on the same page'. Reports from the Chairperson of the School Education Board are sent home to families each term to inform families of the outcomes of the meetings and decisions made in support of the school.
St Agnes Church is located next to the school with the Presbytery located at 6 Clyde Street, Highett.
Our Parish Office is located at 1 Locinda Street, Highett and is open by appointment only.
